Gmail Feature (or is it a Bug?) with Potential Practical Value

When I started my Information Technology career as a software programmer in IBM I was taught that if the software that you created or is selling is behaving in a manner that is not as expected you always and immediately declare that “it is a feature, not a bug.”  That programmer’s mantra has served...

Go ahead, it’s OK to cheat… but only when using Google

It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Google.  I have already blogged about Google search tips and pointers at least a couple of times (see I Love Google and The Legend of Google), and I’ve personally referred to them as my personal Google Cheat Sheet.  But it is only now that...

My latest iPhone apps — 1st of 2 parts

DESTROYER is only my 6th iPhone game after DuckShoot, iSniper, Twistism (FREE version), Super Word Find (FREE version), and Online Chess (which I am yet to use; FREE version, too). †It’s a “no brainer” game, actually, but that’s really by design. †This is not a game to exercise creativity and boost IQ. †It’s designed...

Win7 vs. Snow Leopard | Treatment for Leptospirosis | Deadly Cockroach |

I found a very interesting article comparing the newly announced Windows 7 with Mac’s OSX Snow Leopard. †It is, of course, an inevitable face off, with the Snow Leopard winning the contest as far as the author is concerned. †I am inclined to agree. †But I am not exactly an objective juror so you...

A twit of fate

UNTIL recently I have always been lukewarm about the utilitarian value of Twitter . †Although I have close to two hundred followers on one hand, and following about 200 hundred on the other, I couldn’t get myself to understand why millions are going gaga over it. †A good majority of twits I had been...

But it’s not Google!

I FIND it†surprising that there wasn’t enough noise about the birth of Bing. †Or maybe I was just not paying attention. †Quite by chance I stumbled on “Bing” when I was googling for “Bong” (come on, don’t tell me you don’t google your name from time to time). Being the geek that I am I...

Keyboard Innovation

I FOUND this very interesting article on Business Opportunities Weblog Network. Things are getting better in Mobile.PH

Sun Cellular did what was largely thought to be impossible when it offered unlimited Sun-to-Sun call and text when it joined Smart and Globe in the battle for “mobile.ph” market share some years back. †It was a bold move, to say the least. †It must have been necesseary, too, considering that Smart and Globe...
