Clarin Ancestral House

THERE’S ALWAYS something creepy about ancestral houses. This one is no different. It is definitely “ancestral” by any measure.

The Clarin Ancestral House is nicely preserved. A lot of the original furnitures still exist. Much of the floors, walls, windows and doors appear to be original, too.

What sets this apart from other ancestral homes with National Historical Institute stamp is that this particular house appear to be still actually resided in by a remaining member of its first generation owners/residents. According to the caretakers with whom we had a short chat with, the youngest daughter of the Clarin patriarch is still alive and is occupying one of the rooms of the Clarin ancestral house. She is now close to a hundred years old.  Still single, by the way.
