The Story Behind the Nativity, with a Twist

The Nativity

Here’s a very witty but intelligent attempt to explain the story behind one of Christendom’s most enduring symbol — the Nativity.

The enchanting and enduring story of the birth of Jesus Christ is perhaps the best known tale in the history of the world.  And yet, a lot of its details are either sketchy from their various accounts in the Bible (i.e. the gospels) or have been introduced much later through various influences, including commercialism.

I am not believing all the “assertion of facts” by the author with hook, line, and sinker.  But I must admit that his arguments and rationalizations are sufficiently compelling to tickle my curiosity.

At the very least I’ve been sufficiently entertained.  I think you will be, too.

Thank you so much for sharing this, and I’m pleased you enjoyed it. I did spend quite a bit of time researching all those factoids, but ultimately I’m off the hook because it’s entertainment and not some scholarly treatise. Oh, and it’s on the Internet, so I’m definitely in the clear. Thanks again!
