Tel Aviv: A curious mix of Israel’s old and new (A Pilgrimage to the Holy Land)

Tel AvivTel Aviv, in the present day, is Israel’s financial and business district.  It is also the favorite target of military aggression by Israel’s enemies, precisely because of its economic and political importance.

JaffaLying along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, Tel Aviv has many beautiful beaches where a good mix of Jews and the expatriate community of Israel go to take a cool dip and a good tan.

Old JaffaOn the outskirt but still within Tel Aviv’s territory is the old port city of Jaffa.  A stark contrast to Tel Aviv’s tall and modern glass buildings, Jaffa has cobbled streets and limestone structures reminiscent of a different era.  Many artists and artisans in Israel live in Jaffa and their art and crafts add to the distinct character of the place.

  1. Canon Powershot G11 dead pixels? I am not also confident if it is what you call dead pixels, but on the LCD display screen, you’ll find small black dots. I realize it’s not dust or dirt within the lens, because it seems in images I’ve taken prior to I had this issue. You will find about 3 or 4 black dots about the LCD screen, and they’re not also close to each other. I purchased my camera in September. Ought to I deliver it in to Canon to acquire it fixed?
