Last Cristmas: Deck the Halls

Last Christmas I fancied taking photos of the Christmas decors in my sister-in-law’s new house in Bataan

Looking at the photos I took, It just occurred to me now that we’ve never really decorated our own house for Christmas. Not yet, at least.  Perhaps because we don’t really celebrate Christmas there as we always go to Bataan for Christmas Day.  Perhaps also because until a couple of years ago we’ve always felt that the kids are still too young to appreciate Christmas decorations and these may  even pose dangers to them.

Of course the second reason is no longer valid.  At 7.5 and 5.5 years old respectively, the kids are not exaxtly that young anymore.  So I guess it’s really just the first reason.  Or maybe we are just too lazy (and too busy with other things) to decorate the house.

It’s a good thing my sister-in-law is neither too lazy nor too busy in decorating her house for Christmas. For two consecutive years now we’ve spent Christmas eve and Christmas day in her house anyway, so I guess we just found another excuse not to decorate our own house. Aside from the fact that she obviously has “better taste” than us when it comes to decorating for Christmas, we even saved money for not having to decorate!
