This blog post is 2 months late.
I was in Boracay with my ex-girlfriend and our two kids from February 12-14. It was a double treat for the kids — for my xGF’s birthday on the 11th and of course Valentine’s Day.
Believe it or not, it was my very first visit to the famous beach paradise.
People who’ve been to the island several times would probably say that it is no longer as pristine and enchanting as before. I would not know any better since ’twas my first time.
And perhaps that’s a blessing in disguise. Because I still felt very much captivated by Boracay’s sand, surf, and the distinctly bohemian atmosphere.
Of course there are people who have been to Boracay many times over and still love the place. My ex-girlfriend is one of them. She’s been to Boracay countless times before and yet she shares the enthusiasm of first timers like my kids and myself. A good friend of ours, Yani, is also a Bora regular.
I find the never-ending sea of people walking the 2-3 kilometer beachfront very fascinating. It’s unlike any other beach I’ve been to before. It almost seems like Longbeach in Florida as I’ve often seen on TV and the movies. But since I’ve never been to Florida I wouldn’t know for sure how the two places would compare.
It’s the sand of Boracay that really blew me away! It seems oblivious of the thousands of feet that tramples it all day and until late at night, everyday! It’s amazing!
Come to think of it I haven’t done much in Boracay yet, nor explored enough of its countless attractions. I can’t wait to visit Boracay once again!

the best talaga ang beaches ng boracay, ayos na ayos ang whitesands at babes.”`:
