Mario's hair is also white-brownish now. He hasn't been to a grooming shop ever yet because we like his hair just the way it is. My niece bathes him everyday and he loves to just lie there while being hosed. I haven't seen a dog that loves getting wet as much as Mario. Mario just turned 1-year old last July 28, btw. I trained him not to chew on slippers etc, though. buying him stuffs like edible bone, and chew toys. it really helps and it makes the dog more patient.
