That’s my sweetheart donning my Milo Marathon jersey in the photo. †I am all set to join the 10K Fun Run of the Milo Marathon finals this coming Sunday, October 11, 2009.
I am not sure if I am ready to be running 10K Fun Runs again. †The last time I participated in a Fun Run was early this year. †Or was it late last year? †I’ve been in hiatus since then and, in the process, gained about 10 pounds more. †I am approximately 30 pounds overweight when I run in the Milo Marathon on Sunday.
Actually, I have gone back to running about a month ago, thanks to my boss who recruited me to join his 2-3 times a week jogs along Roxas Boulevard and through the CCP Complex. †Since we started about 4 weeks ago we must have run half a dozen times already. †But none of it reached the full 10K. †The farthest I managed to run, which was last Tuesday, was just about 8K, and my tongue was already dangling like a dog’s even before we hit the 5K mark.
I really need to finish the 10K Fun Run of the Milo Marathon. †That should give me the morale boost I badly need to fully get back to my running routine. †To really force the issue I have also already registered to join the Adidas King of the Road 10K Fun Run on October 27, 2009. †I also just learned about the QCIM (Quezon City International Marathon) set for October 18. †I am hoping to join that, too.
But wait. †I have to take this one Fun Run at a time. †I am not even sure if I will have fun running this coming Sunday, much more if I will actually complete 10K.
