That’s a very funny article you wrote, Bong. Like you, I got several “Happy Father’s Day” greetings last Sunday. I agree with you that we should not complain about it. Who knows it will get perpetuated and in a few years from now Father’s Day may already be officially celebrated on two consecutive Sundays in June, hahaha.

PS: I also can’t seem to win an argument with my kids.

I must admit I got confused too! We rang my Dad last Sunday to greet him a very happy father’s day only for him to tell us that it’s not till next Sunday! Duh!

I have an excuse for the confusion though. Father’s Day is not celebrated in New Zealand till September so I just relied on things I see online haha to see when it’s being celebrated in the Philippines.

Oh well better greet early than to forget, diba?

i am confused, too. i was told by my sister to greet our dad a happy father’s day; i greeted him though, but there’s still a confusion. i was about to greet someone a happy father’s day because of that but i’m kinda hesitant about this — that’s why i googled it too, and i bumped also into your site. lollll. however as the wikipedia says the father’s day is on the 21st, i’d stand by it also. haha
