I COPIED this right out of a wall inside the Philips Electronics and Lighting office in Makati.

  1. Have a CLEAR AGENDA explaining the objective of the meeting.
  2. Identify a CHAIR PERSON for every meeting.
  3. Only INVITE PEOPLE with a clear role (e.g., experts, decision makers)
  4. Send a PRE- READ 2 days in advance and ask attendees to prepare.
  5. Start the meeting on time; don’t wait for LATE COMERS.
  6. Switch off PHONES AND LAPTOPS.
  7. Aim for 30-MINUTE meetings.
  8. Limit your presentations to 10 SLIDES max.
  9. Send out ACTION POINTS only. Flow up one on one or via email.
  10. No meetings on FRIDAYS.
