No to BNPP, Yes to Resorts and Tourism for Bataan Peninsula

LET ME ADD my voice to this urgent call.

no-to-bnppI happen to have passed by the site of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant last weekend on my way to Morong from Subic. †The place is beautiful and serene and I had a great time driving along the ridge lines at the foot of Mt. Natib.

The northern coastline of the Bataan peninsula is experiencing a renaissance †as a resort destination. †Several high-end and exclusive residential resorts are currently being developed in the area, including†Camaya Coast†at the tip of the peninsula and Ayala’s†Anvaya Coast†in Morong.

It would be a pity if the devil that is BNPP, already thought to be in eternal slumber, would be awakened by some of our self-serving politicians. †Then it would cast its ominous shadow on the entire peninsula. †Then, like a leper, the whole peninsula will be avoided by tourism investors and tourists alike.
