DURING OUR Shenzhen City Tour in late February, I was told by our Tour Guide that the McDonald’s store in the photo is the first ever McDonald’s store in Mainland China. †It was supposedly built and opened in 1990.

I did go inside the store to pee. †While relieving myself I felt a ‘high’ with the sudden realization that I’ve set foot (and peed) on a historical landmark in China’s very rich history.
