iPhone Photography and a last look at Mt. Malipunyo

MT. MALIPUNYO must now be the most exploited topic in my blog to date. I have a total of 11 blog posts related to it!!! †Fact is, some of my friends have already complained to me about it. †Sorry, folks. †This is really the last one.

I promised (myself) that I will have one more and last blog post for my “Hidden Beauties Up There” series. †So here it is.

These photos were taken using the built-in camera of my iPhone 3G.

If you are familiar with the iPhone or are using one then you would certainly know what I am talking about when i say that the iPhone is not exactly a great choice if you intend to to some real photography projects like Macro Photography.

The iPhone is what I like to call a barenones camera. You may want to call it “no frills” camera and you are right, too.

Aside from its 2.0 megapixel resolution, which is quite the minimum standard now for camera-phones, it can’t boast of anything else. It has no zoom, no presets, no face recognition, no smile detection… nothing.

Nevertheless, in fairness I am quite pleased with the photos I took using my iPhone 3G when we did Mt. Malipunyo. †Not bad, especially since I am but an amateur when it comes to honest-to-goodness photography.
