Portraits

masksMITZ PICARDAL, my long-time friend and now a renowned expert in the field of digital photography, quite candidly took portrait photos of his friends (myself included) on December 22, 2008.

To the people who know these faces it will be apparent that on each portrait Mitz captured not one but two photographs.

On the surface are the faces of the present.† Graying hairs. Receding hairlines.† Pride. Confidence.† Mirth.† Graceful aging.

Beneath the surface are the kids that they once were some sixteen years ago.† Wanton abandon.† Wide-eye wonder.† Carefree. †Big dreams.

Below are the faces of people who once shared their lives, went their separate ways to pursue their dreams, and remained friends all throughout.
