†
MY FRIEND MITZ†recently signed up for the Global Connection Project and was chosen as one of†the beta testers of the Robotic Head as a tool to get Gigapixel†resolution images.
†
I wasn’t sure if I got it right when Mitz first told me about it so I asked again. †Yes, I heard it correctly the first time around. †It’s ‘gigapixel,’ alright.
†
GIGAPIXEL?! †By golly wow! †My ex-girlfriend and I just bought a 10-megapixel Olympus digicam late last year after our trusty more-than-5-years-old 5-megapixel Sony digital camera died. †And with our new 10-megapixel digicam we thought we already have a super-high resolution camera. †In fact I was already quite happy with the resolution of photos taken from our 5-megapixel Sony digicam. †Truth is, we hardly took photos that are bigger than one megapixel. †With our new 10-megapixel camera with 2GB of built-in storage we decided we can now afford to raise the bar a bit and set it to take 3.2-megapixel photos. †But Gigapixel is simply way beyond us.
†
Here are some of Mitz‘s images ranging from 500Megapixel to 3 Gigapixel.
