THIS BLOG POST goes online at exactly 12:01 AM of December 2, 2008 (GMT+8).
Please bear with me but I just needed to state that for the record.† I wouldn’t dare risk being accused of not greeting our birthday girl early enough (you’ll understand why when you read on).
Friends, countrymen… Aileen Grace S. Caalim of the UP-MBA Housemates is celebrating her birthday today!!!I am dedicating today’s edition of my blog to this special occasion.† Hopefully it would be sufficient enough inducement for Aileen to give the housemates a treat!.
I am also taking the liberty of copying and posting here verbatim the write-up on Aileen in the UP-MBA Class 2006 Yearbook.† It was written by one of the housemates (Trina, I think).†

Your first glance at Aileen would have you believing that she is a quiet and demure lady, always polite, and well-mannered [my first glance at her and I knew she's a wolf in sheep's clothing, and that's why I liked her immediately, LOL].† Those who know her better [like me], however, have been wondering why the guards at the MRT have never even considered detaining her [they did consider that, but they decided it was too dangerous for them it wasn't worth it], given her “terrorist” potential† — she terrorizes her friends [AMEN x 10 raised to the 9th degree] every chance she gets.† “Simpleng humirit” but she still manages to get away with it [she always gets away with it, grrrrr!], thanks in part to her sweet smile.† Her “pabu-bruha” [FYI,†BRUHA is tagalog for WITCH so that should explain a lot of things] is a delightful experience — she can give you one very witty remark or say something†very sincere and heartwarming.
Hers is a contrast of many personalities [schizophrenic, that is].† Aileen the groupmate is organized, a certified “OC,”†a dependable team leader and enthusiastic member (“Work, brain, work!”) [I can't really disagree with any of that].† She will even take down notes while eating dinner, just so that the descriptions for a service experience paper will be complete.† Our favorite Shobe, however, specializes in singing Eensy Weensy Spider [to Harry's chagrin] complete with actions, laughs at the vaguest of reasons, infects you with her giggles to the point of being scolded in class for it [Oy Trina, you are fingerpointing] and spontaneously throws out sweet and caring expressions of her emotions.† She shows the independence and strength of a woman [too strong] while exemplifying the innocence [wrong choice of word, try 'mischief'] and eagerness of a child.
She will patiently listen to your life story and remember the littlest and most important details of your life (especially the details you would rather forget — potential blackmail material) [NOW THIS IS THE SCARIEST PART!].† She is strong-willed, determined and passionate with everything she does.† Count on her to let out a piece of her mind and give no-nonsense advice on life.† Just don’t feed her sweets though, or she’ll go hyper the whole night.
“Think happy thoughts!” she always says.† This responsible, mature and sensible adult will also always be our little kid full of life and optimism.
[Hey, dudes she's single, pretty and available... if you dare!]
[Peace Shobe, 'Love you! Haberdey! ]††
