Grilla-Pioneer hosts another ‘Blue Moon’ get-together

THERE WAS excitement in the air and the remnants of the Boys and Girls of P. Campa met again after only about five months since their last get-together in June 18 (See Blue Moon).† This is extra-ordinary indeed considering that their last get-together prior to June 18 was in December 2005.

Last October,†some members of the the long-lost Children of Six suddenly surfaced (See Back to P. Campa).†† And then just a couple of weeks ago we finally heard from our Comrade Ramil, who left for Afghanistan some years back and never-heard from since.† I’ve always suspected that he joined the Talibans and must have acquired for himself a dozen wives.† Turns out he’s been back in PH for almost half a year already!

So there’s good reason to celebrate… and to reminisce about the†good old days… when we could consume drums and drums of booze and never get tipsy… among other things.

Back to the present, over a few bottles of San Mig Light†we made grand reunion plans.† At least one member of the Children of Six was to†come home to PH from†UK.† And†Ramil needs to do a lot of catching up with the bottles of San Mig Light he missed since he left PH.

Grilla in Pioneer has become an ideal meeting place for us.† For this particular get-together we hardly had a choice actually.††Grilla happens to be just a spitting distance from Mitz’s condo in Pioneer and he†was to foot the bill, thanks in part to our college pal, Glenn Duque.† Glenn just bought Mitz’s golf set so he will have some recreation at sea while in between ports.

Of course, it helps a lot that Grilla’s food is generally good and costs reasonable too.
