FOR THE LONGEST time I have relied on inquirer.net or inq7.net as my primary source of local news online.  At some point in the not-so-distant past it was the only option available.

Not anymore, philstar.com has finally caught on (Even the print version of PhilStar has caught on, overtaking PDI in terms of readership in MM according to a recent survey).  It’s the same case with the other local news sources.

But the biggest and best news for local online news was announced just a few weeks back.  It’s Google News Philippines.

In my opinion, Google News Philippines is The Ultimate Country-Specific News Portal.  Using Google’s superb search engine, it actually brings forth in a Web Portal the latest news from many different sources, both local and international, making the news more interesting, accessible, and truly objective.  The news feeds also come in almost real time.

And because the news is presented not just from a single source, you can actually compare different versions of the same story.

I can’t help but love Google! #
