The kid who made it possible for me to enter Blogosphere

October 11, 2008

IT IS WORDPRESS that got me into blogging so it is with much regret that I missed the rare opportunity of meeting in person the man (or is he just a boy?) who made history by creating and founding the platform that exponentially altered Blogosphere.I have no choice but to settle for the news and feature stories about his visit that appear in various newspapers and online news sites.

I am, of course, referring to the just-24-years-old WordPress creator and founder, Matt Mullenweg, who visited the Philippines recently.

Mullenweg was named as one of the Top 50 Most Important People on the Web in 2007 by PC World.

I would have at least said ìthank youî for allowing me, and millions of others, to use his wonderful creation for FREE.I would not be blogging now if not for this 24-year-old wonder-kid.

I don’t know why you have overly high regard for Wordpress and Mullenweg. Both are relatively unknowns as far as I am concerned. Blogspot/Blogger is THE big name when it comes to blogging!

Lookin’ for Somethin’?
