A REGULAR READER of my blog asked me this question: How do you manage to write all of those blogs?
This particular reader finds it bewildering that I am able to post 3-5 entries per week. I pointed out that professional bloggers post at least 1 entry a day. Still, fully aware of my demanding and full time day job as well as my workaholic tendencies, this reader thinks I no longer sleep.
Well it’s also true that I’ve been lacking Zs lately, no thanks to our backlog pile of DVD movies and NatGeo’s Top30.
My seemingly super blogging powers can be partly attributed to my blogging tools.
First is my almost 2-yr old and sufficiently abused PalmOne Treo 650. It has been screaming for replacement but I am determined to squeeze some more value out of it (translation: I donít have the cash to buy a replacement at this time). With its Documents-To-Go I can write my blogs and save them on MS Word format. I can then either synchronize my Treo to my Netbook/Laptop to download my blog files or email them out using Treo’s Versamail. Once my blog files are in my computer all I need is Internet connection to post them into WordPress.

I have several options in connecting to the Internet. If I am in any of our offices I normally have access to our wi-fi hotspots. Otherwise I can connect to Globe’s 3G service known as Visibility using a Huawei USB modem. If at home and for unknown reasons Visibility’s signal is poor (it happens every once in a while) I can always borrow my ex-girlfriend’s PLDT WeRoam Plus.
For several months now I’ve avoided using any of my work and personal files on any computer, including my own. Instead I save them onto my 8GB RiDATA USB flash drive. For my archives and to back up my USB flash drive I use a USB 160GB SATA external HDD. #
