The thrill of conquering my first mountain is still† very much fresh in my mind.† And in my aching joints and muscles, too.† It was exactly a month from today when I conquered Mt. Batulao in Batangas.†

But I can’t dwell on the memories of Mt. Batulao anymore.† After all, just 2 days ago, less than a month since my first mountain, I already conquered my second mountain.† Together with the same AB Normal group of Delbros that I went with to conquer Mt. Batulao in March 1, I summitted Pico De Loro, also in Batangas (although we started off somewhere in Ternate, Cavite) at approximately 12:30PM† on March 30.
†
I am now a certified mountaineer wannabe.† I even have a mountaineer’s gear now:† HighTech (my first pair of mountaineering shoes), a North Face dry fit shirt, Ground Zero hiking pants, and a 3-liter bladder to go with my good old EastPak backpack, a custom-made cowboy-style hard hat (courtesy of my boss, JED)..
†
My first mountain inspired me to write 2 articles ñ one for posting in ForAdultsAlso.com, an e-zine I co-edit, and another one for Delbros internal consumption.
†
I know I have to write about my Pico De Loro experience.† My colleagues in Delbros including my boss are already expecting it.† And I would really like to write about it.† There are lots to write about the previous weekend’s experience.
†
But not now.† I am simply too exhausted. One of these days, soon…
